Matt Noah received a B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from North Dakota State University in 1980 and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 1981.
Noah spent most of his career on novel speech and signal processing algorithms, which are now used in both military and commercial communications systems. He was a co-author of the voice over frame relay and voice over ATM specifications. He began his career at Bell Laboratories and has held senior engineering and management positions at ITT, ACT Networks, Telogy Networks, Digital Sound Corporation, ADC and Republic Telecom Systems. Prior to joining NDSU CNSE in August 2006 he was CEO of NetSuds.com. He has 26 years of experience in the field of signal processing, high-speed communication equipment design and venture capital.
