Capillary Hydrodynamic Fractionator 2000
The CHDF-2000 can measure multimodal particle size distributions in the size range of 0.01-3.0 microns with very high resolution. The particles are physically fractionated according to size before detection by Matec Applied Sciences’ patented Capillary Hydrodynamic Fractionation (CHDF) technique. "The CHDF-2000 combines the proven CHDF technique with powerful Windows operating software and an advanced hardware platform equivalent to modern HPLC systems into a rapid, efficient, and reliable particle size analyzer." Particle size populations differing by 10% can be detected and quantified with no assumptions regarding the shape of the particle size distributions. Results are independent of particle density. The instrument is capable of determining particle size distributions in fewer than 10 minutes independent of the complexity of the particle size distributions and sample density.
