Instrumentation and Research Specialist

Heidi Docktor earned a B.S. in Chemistry with an option in Polymers and Coatings from North Dakota State University (NDSU) in 2005.

Docktor began as an Undergraduate Research Assistant for NDSU's Department of Coatings and Polymeric Materials (CPM) under the direction of Dr. Dean Webster in 2001. Her research focused on the use of UV-curable coatings for microelectronic packaging. During the summer of 2004, she worked for Wausau Paper in Rhinelander, Wis., as a summer intern. Upon graduation in 2005, she became the Instrumental Laboratory Manager in the CPM Department at NDSU, a position she holds today. She maintains instrumentation for the CPM Department, as well as the Materials Characterization and Analysis Laboratory (MCAL), and trains students in the proper use of the instrumentation. Her primary area of expertise is thermal analysis of polymers.
