Amber Bach-Gorman, PhD, LPC/LPCC, NCC, CCS #049

Assistant Director, Clinical and Crisis Services

Hi, my name is Amber Bach-Gorman and I am a counselor here at NDSU. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Dakota in Psychology, my Master’s Degree in College/Agency Counseling from the State University of New York in Plattsburgh, and my Doctorate in Counselor Education at NDSU. My certifications include being a National Certified Counselor, as well as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York.  Prior to working for NDSU, I worked as a Mental Health Counselor for a university in upstate New York.

I am originally from North Dakota and am excited to return after living eight years in New York. My professional interests include working with individuals struggling with eating disorders, body image, anxiety and depression, and animal-assisted therapy.

Personally, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family and pets outdoors. My hobbies include cycling, downhill and cross country skiing, as well as cooking!

Student Focused. Land Grant. Research University.
