Accelerated BS/MS Degree Program

Coatings and Polymeric Materials participates in the Accelerated BS/MS degree program. This program allows undergraduate students to enroll in the MS program early and allows up to 15 graduate level credits to count towards the BS degree. The program can enable the completion of the BS and MS degrees in as little as 5 years. Since the MS degree requires a research-based thesis project that typically requires two years to complete, thesis research should start no later than the student's senior year.

Several steps are required to participate in the program. The main steps are:

- Complete and submit the Combined/Accelerated Degree Program Declaration form

- Apply for graduate admission to the MS program.

More details can be found here.

Students enrolled in the CPM minor who wish to participate in the accelerated BS/MS degree program are encouraged to enroll in the program prior to taking the CPM core courses.
