Mindful & Meditation Practices

HNES 2000

This course will utilize the text 101 Mindfulness and Meditation practices as a basis for discussion of inspirational and practical techniques to develop mindfulness and meditation skills. Professionals will personally practice strategies offered daily then come together to discuss best implementation practices for themselves and their students.  

Objectives:

Teachers will understand:

  • 101 different practices in meditation and mindfulness exercises.
  • Expand their knowledge of resources and strategies available for meditation and mindfulness.
  • Explore technology aids or applications to aid in meditation and mindfulness.
  • Implement at least one practice each day taken from the readings.

Each participant must:

Attend and participate in 7 zoom meetings {8:30 - 10:00 p.m.} - January 7, 9, 14, 16, 23, 28 & 30 plus additional outside of class hours consisting of reading & practicing meditation & mindfulness strategies.
