Standards-Based Teaching, Part A

This course is not for the faint of heart! We are going to dig in and get messy with standards-based teaching (PART A).

Objectives:

Teachers will be able to:

  • Identify priority standards
  • Use content specific vocabulary
  • Identify cognitive verbs important to their subject area / grade level.
  • Write appropriate learning goals.
  • Design bell ringers / hooks to introduce content.
  • Create unit plans for one course.
  • Create differentiated learning products for students
