The Resilience Break

HNES 2000

This course will deliver practical primers on how one can become more resilient in the world of instability and narrowing opportunities to learn how to use adverse circumstances as potent fuel for overcoming life’s hardships.  Professionals will personally learn tools to turn adversity into action for themselves and their students.

Objectives:

Teachers will:

  • Explore the core principles of resilience
  • Explore and implement the 7 relational resilience boosters and fuel
  • Explore and implement the 5 street resilience boosters and fuel
  • Explore and implement the 7 resource resilience boosters and fuel
  • Explore and implement the 8 rock bottom resilience boosters and fuel

Required Text:

  • The Resilience Break-Through (27 Tools for Turning Adversity into Action) Author Christian Moore, LCSW, ISBN 978-1-62634-093-0

6 face-2-face sessions via online format (zoom) + 4 hrs. minimum of reading & practicing the resilience boosters. Recommended practicing at least one booster a minimum of once a week.

  • February 13 (7:00 - 9:00 p.m.)
  • February 20 (7:00 - 9:00 p.m.)
  • February 25 (7:00 - 9:00 p.m.)
  • February 27 (7:00 - 8:30 p.m.)
