Program Description
The online Public Health Graduate Certificate - Infection Prevention option is specifically designed to prepare graduates to work with public health programs that prevent infections. Public Health is the practice of helping members of society live healthier, longer lives by promoting healthy lifestyles through education and community engagement. More specifically, public health improves the general health of communities by monitoring the spread of diseases and supporting initiatives – both clinical and policy-oriented – to prevent disease and disability. Practitioners are educated in a wide array of academic and vocational fields, and they often collaborate on interprofessional teams to achieve goals
Students in the program can choose to complete the degree at a distance through videoconferencing into the live course in real time. Students may choose to take a combination of distance-based and on-campus courses.
Graduate certificates are an excellent way to earn credentials and decide if a full master's program is right for you. Credits offered in this program can be transferred into the full online Master of Public Health program.
The Infection Prevention Public Health option includes 15 credits and can be completed in one academic year.
