Course Description:

This course is intended to show students how all can achieve their full potential if they set about training their brains the right way.

Objectives:

Students will:

  1. understand that some of the hotbeds for talent comes from unlikely places;
  2. learn about the importance of paying attention to the details of practice habits;
  3. learn that talent can be developed through effort.
  4. understand the concept of deep practice.

About The Instructor

Brad StrandBradford Strand

Dr. Strand earned his Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction in Physical Education from University of New Mexico. He received his M.S. in Education with emphasis in Physical Education from North Dakota State University and his B.A. in Physical Education & Social Studies. Dr. Strand's area of expertise is in Physical Education & Teacher Preparation and is the Program Coordinator for the Department of Health, Nutrition & Exercise Sciences at NDSU. Dr. Strand has over 32+ years of teaching experience.
