Course Description:

This class is designed for teachers who teach 4th grade through 12th grade. The purpose is to try different instructional methods and engage students in critical thinking. This is a self-paced course where the teachers will have a demonstration of a thinking skill which they can adapt or redesign to implement in their classroom.

Objectives:

  • to enable students to think critically about information in the classroom.
  • be able to prepare thought provoking materials which engage students in the classroom.

Required Student Resources:

The teacher must have access to the internet, a printer, and dedicated time to adapt materials, as well as keep a journal or log as to the formative assessment process.

Lizzie Crowston

Elizabeth earned her M.A. in Educational Leadership (K-12) from North Dakota State University; received her B.S. in Geography from Loughborough University, UK and comes with many years of teaching experience.
