Course Description:

Discover fundamentals in each specific sport, including continuity in team scheme, new rule changes, innovative programs, techniques of performance, the dangers and liabilities involved in each sport, and the need for legislative reform involving sport injury.


  1. Designed to enable coaches who are attending the clinic the opportunity to gain new coaching insights.
  2. Students at the end of the clinic are expected to be able to detail new concepts related to the coaching sessions that were attended and explain how and what was learned that will impact their coaching philosophy.

About The Instructor

Brad StrandBradford Strand

Dr. Strand earned his Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction in Physical Education from University of New Mexico. He received his M.S. in Education with emphasis in Physical Education from North Dakota State University and his B.A. in Physical Education & Social Studies. Dr. Strand's area of expertise is in Physical Education & Teacher Preparation and is the Program Coordinator for the Department of Health, Nutrition & Exercise Sciences at NDSU. Dr. Strand has over 32+ years of teaching experience.
