This is a collection of resources for K-12 teachers in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. We continue to add valuable resources to this list as we identify them. North Dakota STEM Resources

This is a list of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics-related resources that are offered in North Dakota. Many of the links are professional organizations for science and mathematics teachers.

North Dakota Science Teachers Association
A North Dakota-based group of interdisciplinary science educators. Membership is open to K-12 classroom teachers, university faculty, informal educators, concerned citizens, and business personnel. Offers news and events that are science-related.

North Dakota Council of Teachers of Mathematics
A North Dakota-based group that promotes the interests of mathematics teachers within the state. Membership consists of elementary, secondary, and post-secondary educators. Offers news and events that are math-related.

North Dakota State Science and Engineering Fair
The next generation of North Dakota scientists and engineers compete in the Annual North Dakota State Science and Engineering Fair (ND SSEF). Students at the fair will compete in either the junior or senior division. First-place winners in the senior division will compete in the International Science and Engineering Fair.

North Dakota Mathematics and Science Alliance
A coalition formed to promote the improvement of science, mathematics, and technology education in North Dakota. Offers news and event information for math and science teachers.

 

Other STEM Resources

This is a list of science, technology, engineering, and math-related resources that are available at the national level. Many of these are regional or national-level professional associations for science and mathematics teachers. However, this section also offers interesting web resources for STEM teachers. 

STEM @NDSU YouTube Playlist
This series of videos created by NDSU graduate students in STEM programs provides short demonstrations showcasing different scientific fields. Use these videos in your classroom to connect STEM programs with everyday problems and solutions.

National Science Teachers Association
The largest organization in the world committed to promoting excellence and innovation in science teaching and learning for all. NSTA's current membership of 55,000 includes science teachers, science supervisors, administrators, scientists, business and industry representatives, and others involved in and committed to science education.

National Council of Teachers of Mathematics
The public voice of mathematics education, supporting teachers to ensure equitable mathematics learning of the highest quality for all students through vision, leadership, professional development, and research.

Minnesota Science Teachers Association
It is the mission of MnSTA to stimulate, coordinate, and improve science teaching and learning for all.

District Administration
Offering news, events, and useful articles on a variety of K-12 education topics including science and math.

World Wide Web Instructional Committee (WWWIC)
An ad hoc group of North Dakota State University faculty dedicated to developing internet-based educational software.

Center for Online Education Women and Minorities in STEM Report 
This guide provides an insider’s look at STEM industries, explores why women and minorities have traditionally been underrepresented in these fields and what is being done to change the status quo.
