NDSU Group Decision Center (GDC) will host an open house event Thursday, April 23 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the GDC in the NDSU Family Life Center Room 320.  GDC board members, contributing partners, and guests are invited to celebrate 10 years of service the GDC has provided to students and community partners to better serve the region.

Highlights of the open house include the unveiling of the newly refurbished location and upgraded services.  Refreshments will be served.

In 1998, NDSU with Cargill as the major corporate contributor initiated the GDC and opened its doors September 1.  The GDC consists of a network of 40 computers linked by a collaborative group software enabling simultaneous and anonymous discussion. The GDC is primarily used for student and faculty development and secondarily for research and service.  The GDC provides the only student-focused facility using ThinkTank software in the Northern Plains.

The mission of the GDC is to significantly enhance the climate for group decision-making, civil discourse and the planning process of the university and the community.
