Holistic and Natural Approach to Health and Wellness Conference to be Held

Distance and Continuing Education at North Dakota State University has coordinated a group of area professionals to offer the one-day Holistic and Natural Approach to Health and Wellness conference to be held Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at the Ramada Plaza Suites in Fargo, ND. This day-long event is for anyone who wants to learn about holistic and natural approaches to health and wellness to create a healthier lifestyle for themselves or their families.

Natural health and healing options provide a complementary resource to traditional medicine for healing. Area professionals and topic experts will lead keynote presentations about natural solutions to headaches and the benefits of meditation. Participants will have the opportunity to attend sessions on the following topics:

  • Equine therapy
    Discover the physical and psychological benefits that horses have to offer humans including decreased stress levels, lowered blood pressure and heart rate, and increased trust, patience, and self-esteem.
  • Chinese medicine
    Feel enriched through a crash course on one of the world’s oldest complete medical systems. Learn about a variety of methods including acupuncture and about health conditions that can be treated with traditional Chinese medicine.
