Early Incentive Program

Apply Now for Fall!

Apply NOW for work this fall and get an additional $2/hour from the time you start through September 5. You can begin working as early as Monday, August 15!

Move in Early

New Dining team members have the option to move-in on Monday, August 15! Those who choose to move-in early get a ton of benefits, including:

  1. An additional $2/hour your first shift through September 6         
  2. Instant connection with 200 other student team members
  3. Fun activities to attend all week
  4. The ability to move into your Residence Hall and get acclimated before the rush of other students arrive

The first 50 students who sign up to move into their residence hall early will receive a special welcome gift from NDSU Dining!

Next Steps:

  1. Apply for a job with NDSU Dining
    • You'll receive an email from our student employment team when you're hired!
  2. Complete the Move-in Early Form before July 27
  3. Find your original (not photocopies) of REQUIRED I-9 DOCUMENTS, like a birth certificate or social security card. These will be required before you can start!

Incentive Criteria:

NDSU Dining student employees will be eligible for a bonus pay rate of $2.00/hour between August 8 - September 5 provided the students meet the following criteria: 

New Dining Team Members

  • Complete all required/new hire paperwork
  • Receive no written warnings or be in any form of progressive discipline during incentive pay period 
  • Work all scheduled shifts or find an appropriate substitute for your shift, approved by a Student Manager
  • Complete all required trainings before the end of the incentive pay period
  • Attend all required events

Returning Dining Team Members

  • Must submit fall 2022 class schedule to their Student HR Manager 
  • Must be scheduled for, and work shifts, during the first week of classes (Monday, August 22-26)
  • Must work all incentive period shifts or find an appropriate and approved substitute for that shift 
  • Receive no written warnings or be in any form of progressive discipline during incentive pay period 
  • Complete all required trainings before the end of the incentive pay period
  • Attend all required events
NDSU Payroll:

Pay will be calculated on the number of hours worked, along with meeting the above criteria and submitted to NDSU Payroll. NDSU Payroll will post this to your paycheck, with all applicable deductions.
