Better Bag

When you're sick, we will do what we can to help you feel better. If you are too sick to get out of bed, simply have a friend or roommate present the dining staff with your campus I.D. card and receive a Better Bag. Better Bags include:

  • A bowl of soup broth
  • Saltine Crackers
  • Gelatin
  • Mist Twist
  • Banana or other fruit

Environmental Practices

NDSU Dining is conscious of its environmental practices and has implemented a number of programs to help reduce waste and save energy.

  • Dining centers have gone trayless in an effort to reduce water and chemical usage.
  • Recycling cardboard, plastic, metal and newsprint reduces solid waste and saves on collection and disposal costs.

    • Recycling figures (Fall 2008 - Spring 2015):

      • Cardboard: 612,579 lbs - the weight of almost four space shuttles
      • Plastic: 42,593 lbs - the weight of over two 72 passenger buses
      • Metal: 84,963 lbs - the weight of more than seven African Elephants.
