About the Diversity Ambassador Program*

A Diversity Ambassador is an NDSU student who understands and values the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion and is interested in sharing that commitment with the NDSU campus community.

By participating in this program, the Diversity Ambassador agrees to attend trainings, weekly meetings, and campus events that will increase their knowledge, awareness and skills surrounding issues pertaining to diversity on this campus and beyond. After completing the necessary training, Ambassadors will act as peer mentors to present workshops for students, student organizations, and student groups.

Students are eligible to apply for the Diversity Ambassador program if they are enrolled as an NDSU student (graduate or undergraduate) and in good academic standing with the university. Application forms are available at the Equity and Diversity Center (Alba Bales House), or by emailing the Center at:

Applications will be due on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 and interviews will take place the week of October 19.

All Diversity Ambassadors will be required to attend a 1-day (weekend) retreat and bi-weekly meetings (8:00 am on Wednesdays).

Questions about this program can be directed to either:
