The Formlabs Form 2 printer uses stereolithography technology--liquid resins polymerized by a precision laser--to produce exceptionally detailed models. Stereolithography is an efficient way to produce prototypes or limited-run parts.
Prints up to 145 x 145 x 175 mm (5.8 x 5.8 x 7 inches) are possible with layer resolution of 25-100 µm. The most common file-export types for 3D printing, .STL and .OBJ formats, are accepted. PreForm software simplifies import and manipulation of digital files, automatically generating supports and optimizing print orientation while permitting flexible user control. Several functional resin types are available.
The Form 2 is available for general use on a fee basis. For an estimate of time and cost to print your model, call the Electron Microscopy Center at 701.231.8234 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
