Each semester students have the opportunity to provide feedback to the university, colleges, and departments on their satisfaction with their courses and course faculty via the formal Student Rating of Instruction forms (SROIs). DEM faculty beat university and college averages on the two key dimensions of the SROI--rating of "the instructor as a teacher" and "the quality of this course" for every undergraduate course taught by each and every tenured and tenure track faculty member in our Department. DEM faculty have worked hard individually and as a collective to develop program and course content, pedagogy, and assessment approaches. The SROIs are one form of validation of both our efforts and their impact. Congratulations to Drs. Bundy, Cwiak, Ge, Jensen, and Klenow!
