I am an instructor in the English department and a consultant at the Graduate Center for Writers. I love that my job gives me the opportunity to learn about many different disciplines. My BA is in English and anthropology, and my MA is in English with a focus on rhetoric and composition. In my MA thesis, I analyzed how Neandertal interpretations are challenging physical anthropology's definition of "human." This challenge is part of a larger conversation about how writers can rhetorically negotiate disagreement with the established consensus.
