I began my education career as a secondary high school English teacher, then worked in a family marine retail business until graduating with an MA degree from NDSU.I have taught in various area schools: Concordia College (Moorhead, MN), Minnesota State University (MSC, MSU),and Moorhead Community and Technical College, as well as North Dakota State University.

My interests are creative writing, photography, art (all with a strong slant toward nature themes).  An enthusiastic, yet aging athlete, my enthusiasm for soccer is now reduced from participant to spectator.  Fortunately, fishing is one recreation I can still sustain.

I usually teach non-native English speakers.
