Navigate helps you tackle college so you can make the most of your experience and graduate prepared for what's next.

1. Log in to Navigate.

2. Click on "Get Assistance" in the upper right corner.

3. From the menu options, select ADVISING > ACADEMIC ADVISING > ADVISING FOR MY MAJOR. Then click NEXT.

4. Select the major that you would like to meet with an academic advisor to discuss. ***If you do not see your intended major listed, select CAREER AND ADVISING CENTER.***

5. Select an advisor to meet with from the menu options, then click NEXT. Select your advisor whenever possible.

6. Select an available time to meet, then click NEXT.

7. Confirm the following details of your appointment: DATE, TIME, and LOCATION. You may also write any helpful comments to the advisor and choose an appointment reminder option. Once complete, click CONFIRM APPOINTMENT.

NDSU Navigate Features
  • To Do's: Pre-populated to-do lists to make sure you don't miss important dates and deadlines. You can add your own personal to-do's as well!
  • Appointments: Schedule appointments with your adviser.
  • Study Buddies: Opt in to connect with study groups for your classes.
  • Resources: Easily find people and places on campus when you need help.
  • Holds: Learn about and resolve any holds you have on your account.
  • Class Schedule: Easily map your way to class and your instructor's contact information.
  • My Major: Learn some details about your current major, or explore others at NDSU that might be a good fit.
  • Settings: Manage your experience with the Navigate app.
Instructions to download
  1. Go to Google Play or the Apple App Store
  2. Search "Navigate Student" to install app
  3. Once installed, search for "North Dakota State University - Main Campus"
  4. Use your electronic ID and password to log in
