Green Cotton Dress

Dress is green cotton. Bodice has fitted waist, center front closure, 12 buttons. Blue mandarin collar edged with lace. Long sleeves with cartridge pleats at cuffs accented with 3 buttons, blue ribbon, and lace. Slight flair in back. Fully lined. Skirt is floor length with 4 rows of cartridge pleats at hemline and blue ribbon trim. Gathered slightly in back for bustle effect. Black waistband. Fully lined.

The dress was worn by Inga Hovland [b. 1852, d. 1943] on the voyage to America from Norway in 1885.
