High School Upward Bound Living Learning Experience (Conference/Workshop/Seminar)
Upward Bound is a federally funded program designed to help you succeed in high school and to prepare you for continued success in college. NDSU's Upward Bound Project provides you, free of charge, with academic, cultural, and social activities designed to build your skills, motivation, and self-confidence. These are skills necessary for success in school, in careers, and in life. You may qualify for participation in Upward Bound if you meet one of the following criteria: family's income is at or below federally determined guidelines, you come from a family in which neither parent holds a four-year degree, or you have a diagnosed disability. You must be between the ages of thirteen and nineteen and must have graduated from the eighth grade and not have begun the twelfth grade. Schools in the target area include: Fargo Public Schools and West Fargo Public Schools. Application Process: Contact the Upward Bound office for an application.
