NDSU Email Merge (University Dates/Deadlines)
NDSU employee email accounts will be merged into the NDSU student email system the weekend of July 18. After the merge is complete, all NDSU students, faculty and staff will be in one Microsoft Office 365 email and calendar system, which will be managed by NDSU.
Employee email accounts will be moved into the student system at 4 p.m. July 18. At that time, faculty and staff will lose access to email, calendar, Lync, OneDrive and SharePoint. The process will be complete by 7:30 a.m. Monday, July 21, but individual accounts may become available as early as Friday night.
Important password and login changes:
After the merge is complete, students, faculty and staff will no longer have to remember a separate password for email; instead they will use the password associated with their NDSU electronic ID to log in to their NDSU email account and other Office 365 services. Electronic IDs and passwords are used to access Blackboard, CMS (TYPO3) and cluster computers.
Usernames (i.e., email addresses used to log in) will remain the same for most students, faculty and staff:
Students will continue to log in with their @my.ndsu.edu address, with the exception of student employees who have an employee email account. Those individuals will log in with their @ndsu.edu address to access all email going forward.
Faculty and staff will continue to log in with their @ndsu.edu address to access all email going forward. More information...
