Dr. McIntyre's current research includes sustainable construction / green building and pedagogical activities involving active learning.  He has number of publications in ASCE journals and has served on the ASCE Land Development and Standards Committee.  He has also been involved in the ASCE Construction Congress conferences and served on the ASCE Engineering Education Task Committee for Construction Congress VI.  He has several ASEE publications in the areas of active and cooperative learning.

Miscellaneous Funding (Hardware and Software)

Developed the proposal for funding the classroom instrumentation for the CIE 102 classroom. The technology was funded through the Office of the VPAA and also the CM&E Division. Approximate cost of the full instrumentation and miscellaneous equipment, $13,500.

QuickGantt -The site licensing for this program was purchased from the Student Activities Fund at a greatly reduced rate based on a proposal submitted to Ballantine Co. (MA). Approximate savings to the Department:   $4,500.

Site Planner - The site licensing for this program was purchased from the Student Activities Fund at a greatly reduced rate based on a proposal submitted to Site Planner (FL). Approximate savings to the Department: $3,800.

American Digital Cartography, Inc. - USGS Quadrangle and Etak Maps were purchased at a reduced rate for the 4-quad area of Fargo North, Fargo South, West Fargo North, and West Fargo South for use in civil and construction courses. Approximate savings to the Department:   $2,000.

Expert Choice - The site licensing for this program was purchased and the decision support software will be installed on all computers in the CE and CM&E clusters during the Fall 1998 Semester. The software will be used in CM&E 425 / 625 Decision Making and Risk Analysis. Approximate savings to the Department:   $7,500.
