Macrina Amyot & Serville, 1843: XXIX, 179.

Type Species: Aelia juvenca Burmeister, 1835 (misdet. as Aelia furcata Fabricius, 1803), by monotypy.

Tribal Placement: This genus is currently a member of the subfamily Phyllocephalinae.

Included Species:

juvenca (Burmeister, 1835)
     marginellus (Westwood, 1837) [junior synonym]
     caenosa (White, 1842) [junior synonym]
furcata Amyot & Serville, 1843 [misdet.]
     scita Walker, 1868 [junior synonym]
rubens Stål, 1853
affinis Stål, 1853 [junior synonym; image]

Comments: Linnavuori (1982) included this genus in his Lobopeltista group. This group does not have a formal name yet, so Macrina is maintained in nominate tribe. Linnavuori did indicate that "Macrina is very closely related to or even congeneric with Gonopsis."
