Distribution: Argentina, Cuba, Guatemala, Mexico (Aguascalientes, Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Colima, Distrito Federal, Durango, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jalisco, México, Michoacán, Morelos, Nuevo León, Oaxaca, Puebla, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Zacatecas), United States (AZ, CA, CO, NM, TX, UT), Nicaragua.

Type Material: Podisus acutissimus StDl, 1870: STS (at least 1%, 1&), Mexico, NHRS; Texas, NHRS. Podisus rubromaculatus Distant, 1880: ST(S), Mexico, Mus. Vind. Caes.
