In my research group, we focus on the use of electrochemical techniques for the study of materials and corrosion.  Electrochemical techniques allow one much greater insight into degradation and corrosion processes than visual and weight-loss assessment alone.  Additional interests include environmentally compliant corrosion inhibitors based on responsive technologies such as electroactive conducting polymers (ECP) and microencapsulation of corrosion inhibitors.

Most of the research discussed below is funded under a co-operative agreement from Army Research Labs, Aberdeen Proving Grounds. In addition to the projects discussed below we currently have sponsored research programs from multiple industrial and academic partners.
