AREAS ALONG THE RED RIVER
AT FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA,
PRONE TO MASS WASTING:

MAPS AND AIR PHOTOS

In June and July, 2000, lands in the Red River corridor of Fargo were visually surveyed for signs of active or potential mass wasting processes. Identified processes included creep, slump, and earthflow. Maps of active and prone areas were produced using a two-color code system.

Active Movement -- Areas of showing signs of creep, earthflow, or slump, as surveyed in Summer, 2000

Susceptible Areas -- Areas that could potentially be impacted by mass wasting processes
