In a world where you can be anything, be kind.

Students in the NDSU College of Health Professions often quietly work without fanfare to help others, not only in their chosen professions, but in the community too.

In 2020, we’re sharing their stories.

Hallie Nupdahl sees first-hand how the coronavirus has impacted community members in different ways. When not in school, the junior nursing student also helps clients at CCRI of Moorhead, Minnesota. Creative Care for Reaching Independence enhances and enriches the lives and learning of people with disabilities.

According to Hallie, they have been greatly impacted by the cancellation all of the festive gatherings and fun events they would normally look forward to this time of year. She helped lead a project to brighten their days.

Students, faculty, staff and their families from the NDSU College of Health Professions wrote out 300 holiday greetings and assembled small treat bags delivered to these individuals in need of a pick-me-up during the season.

Thank you to everyone who helped complete the effort bringing joy to others in 2020. Involvement in student groups in such projects is just one of the ways to #ExperienceNDSU
