Joint venture spreads cheer

Reaching out can make a difference to anyone affected by the isolation of the global coronavirus pandemic in 2020. Some NDSU students in Health Professions chose to help others in the community over the holiday season.

NDSU Student College of Clinical Pharmacy and Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society developed and delivered gift baskets to two different nursing homes in the Fargo-Moorhead area in December.

Approximately 20 students between the two groups helped to write holiday cards for the residents and put together the gift baskets for them, too. Rho Chi members and several SCCP members also helped to make tie blankets for the residents as part of the gift baskets.

The two groups completed a total of 150 holiday cards, with help from a few other pharmacy organizations.

“We chose to do this project as a way to reach out to a group that has been affected greatly by the Covid-19 pandemic and spread some holiday cheer,” said Gabrielle Coudron, president of Student College of Clinical Pharmacy and Rho Chi Fundraising Chair, class of 2022.

As a student involved in Health Professions student groups, there are many ways to #ExperienceNDSU
