How will this project benefit students?

Educational spaces and instructional labs equipped with updated technology will enhance student learning. Rooms designed to support clinical simulations and collaborative training will better prepare students for real-world success.

Today’s health care industry is rapidly embracing team-based strategies to improve patient care, and health care institutions want graduates who are “practice ready” and “team ready.”

An expanded and updated Sudro Hall will accommodate collaborative learning, where students work within interdisciplinary teams just as they will in hospitals, clinics and other health care settings.

Inside Sudro Hall’s laboratories, promising research is underway by faculty and students whose work is attracting highly competitive, national grants. The College’s grant-funded research involving all disciplines has grown significantly, totaling $30 million to date, including funding from the National Institutes of Health and other sources.

Sudro Hall’s redesigned research labs will empower greater discovery. The Sudro Hall project will expand the College’s research capacity and include safety and security improvements.

Whatever health professions career path students choose, investment in the Sudro Hall project will result in enhanced educational opportunity for 21st century learning. While the building addition will help meet some immediate challenges, construction plans being created will serve a longer-term vision, with flexibility in design, classrooms and facilities that adjust to changing health care education needs.
