The 800 Cafe' is located on the third floor of the Family Life Center. The Café is close to the breezeway between EML and FLC and is open for lunch during the spring semester.
Students start training in the food production and service lab during fall semester of their junior year, and advance to Foodservice Systems management the following spring. The students essentially operate their own restaurant for an entire semester, serving "from scratch recipes" in a full service dining room. The food production and service lab also serves as a test kitchen for recipe improvement and nutrient analysis for consumer-provided nutrition information as part of the restaurant.
