Homecoming parade

The NDSU community encourages all student organizations, NDSU departments and businesses in the area to participate in the parade on Friday, September 30. The parade is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. in downtown Fargo.


Thank you for your interest in the NDSU Homecoming Parade.  We have a limited number of spaces in the parade this year and all applications will be collected on a first come first serve bases in each of the 3 parade categories.  To apply, please download the correct form listed below.  If you have any questions, please contact

Pay Online

We are asking all community/business floats to pay for the parade application fee online. To access the online payment option click here and follow the instructions provided.  Cash or Check are NOT accepted.

Please Note: A Parade Application form must be submitted to the Student Activities Office. Payment online does not guarantee a spot in the parade. All entries are complete when both payment and entry form are collected and are on a first-come, first-served basis. If your float is wait-listed and we are unable to provide you with a spot in the parade, your account will be refunded.

Political Official/Candidates

Candidates who are running for a congressional, state elected, state legislative or city/county office must participate with the corresponding student organization.  IE. College Republicans, College Democrats, Student Government, etc. No individual political floats will be allowed.

No floats will be accepted that pertain to specific ballot measures.
