Long-Term Disability Insurance

Employees receive long-term disability insurance as part of their benefits package.  There are two long-term disability insurance plans each dependent on the retirement plan the employee participates in.


Employees on the NDPERS retirement plan have a long-term disability benefit tied to their retirement plan.

Information can be found in the retirement plan handbook .


Employees on the TIAA retirement plan have a long-term disability plan underwritten by The Standard.  Coverage is paid by the University and carries a 6 month elimination period.
