We are glad you decided to take a look at the website for the College of Human Sciences and Education (HSE) at North Dakota State University. Our College offers a wide variety of academic programs focused on the lives of individuals and their families as they interact in work, educational and living environments.

The administrative units in the College include:

We offer 9 undergraduate majors plus 18 teaching specialties, and graduate study at the Master's, Specialist, Certificate and Doctoral levels. Several of our undergraduate and graduate programs are web-based, making it possible for students to complete their program from anywhere in the world. The Center for 4-H Youth Development offers learning opportunities outside the classroom across the state.

The College is home to over 1233 students and 131 faculty and staff. We house one of the largest doctoral programs on the campus, and enroll 15% of the graduate students. Through 4-H programming we reach over 25,000 North Dakota youth.

Classroom and hands-on experience are provided to promote learning. Students in all HSE programs have the opportunity to participate in experiential learning experiences, such as internships, practicum and student teaching. These experiences allow students to apply their classroom learning in real-life situations.
