Our Services

The Institute for the Study of Cultural Diversity strives to fulfill its commitments by undertaking the following responsibilities:

  • Formally establish the importance of cultural diversity studies by providing funding and support for program development on campus
  • Support educational activities, such as workshops and seminars, which support cultural integration and celebrate diversity among students on-campus
  • Sponsor events which raise public awareness on topics related to intercultural communication
  • Conduct and promote faculty research dedicated to the understanding of intercultural communication
  • Establish partnerships with faculty, programs and departments on-campus in order to engage in collaborative projects of mutual interest and offer resource support where needed
  • Promote bonds between NDSU and other educational and cultural institutions serving ethnic and cultural groups whose purpose it is to increase understanding of cultural diversity
