NDUS MeetMe Rooms
The NDUS MeetMe rooms are virtual meeting spaces that can be reserved through Microsoft Outlook and then accessed through videoconference rooms, computers, mobile devices, and phones. They allow users to quickly launch a full multipoint videoconference connection. Simply search for an available NDUS MeetMe Room in the Outlook room list and reserve it at the time of your meeting. You will receive an email notification of the successful reservation with all needed connection details. See the manual for more detailed instructions:
Multipoint videoconference connections scheduled through the NDSU IVN Coordinator can now be accessed through the Pexip Desktop, Web, or Mobile App on your computer or mobile device. Through the web app users simply require a link for their conference and can easily join the call from their preferred browser without any software being installed. Below is the documentation for supported browsers and devices.
Pexip Desktop App
Simply download and install the app on your computer. The only setting you need to adjust is entering "join.nd.gov" in the Server address field and you are ready to connect.
Pexip Web App
Without downloading any software, you can connect to our multipoint videoconference connections through a simple Pexip link. If you would like additional documentation on how to connect using your preferred browser, please select the appropriate manual from the list below.
Pexip Mobile App
Pexip allows for easy connection from your Android or iOS mobile device. Simply download the app from the store and use the dial-in information you received from the IVN Coordinator. If you would like additional information, please see the manuals below.
Blackboard Collaborate Ultra
Blackboard Collaborate Ultra is a videoconference software accessible to all NDSU faculty through Blackboard. After selecting your course, go into the "Tools" section and click on the Blackboard Collaborate Ultra icon. This will start a videoconference connection accessible to all students in your class. In the connection, all participants can share video, audio, and their computer screen with each other. The software furthermore allows for breakout groups, shared whiteboard annotation, and recording. For more information, please visit the Instructional Services' Bb Collaborate Ultra page
Skype for Business
Skype for Business is available to all students, faculty, and staff in the North Dakota University System. It allows you to find users in the directory and send messages to their Skype for Business client. Chats can easily be escalated into audio and/or video calls with screen sharing and remote control capabilities. Additionally, users not affiliated with any NDUS institution can be invited into a call through a simple web link requiring no authentication or software install.
