Note: Internet Explorer MUST be open and running in the background before you can connect to the NDSU Blackboard server to publish exams or retrieve exam data. This requirement is specific to the NDSU Blackboard server; you won't find this information in the videos or documentation from Respondus.
Internet Explorer does NOT have to be running in the background before you can connect to the NDUS Blackboard Learn server.
Formatting Your Word Documents
You can create exam questions in Blackboard's Test Canvas and/or in the question editor in Respondus, but it may be more efficient to create the questions in a Word document using a more familiar interface and import them into Respondus for publishing to Blackboard courses.
While Respondus requires a less-strict question format than Blackboard, it is important that you follow the question format Respondus requires while creating exam questions in a Word document. This formatting guide will help you prepare your document for import into Respondus and covers adding images, feedback, and other types of additions to your exams.
