Send and receive files with Secure File Transfer

NDSU faculty and staff soon will have new options for sending and receiving large files using Secure File Transfer.

After Secure File Transfer is upgraded this Thursday (7/6), users will have multiple options for quickly and securely transferring files, including:

  • Send a file via email directly within the Secure File Transfer System. This new option rolls multiple steps that previously were required (i.e., create the link, copy the link, create an email message and then paste the link) into one.
  • Send a file request via email to an NDSU or non-NDSU user and receive a notification when that person uploads a file.
  • Create a file-drop URL through which anyone can upload files, making it easy to collect files without needing to send unique requests. Departments can use this option to securely gather forms containing private data from individuals with or without an NDSU account.

To learn more about these options and other features of Secure File Transfer, visit the Secure File Transfer page. Contact the IT Help Desk at 701-231-8685 or ndsu.helpdesk@ndsu.edu if you have questions or need assistance.
