NDSU Software Licensing

Microsoft Home Use Program

The Microsoft Campus Agreement allows NDSU faculty and staff to purchase one copy of Microsoft Office for home use at a significant discount. (Employees and students also have the option to get Microsoft Office for free through the Office ProPlus Program.)

Through the Home Use Program, NDSU faculty and staff are eligible to purchase Microsoft Office for Windows or Macintosh for $9.95 to download. There is an additional charge to have a DVD shipped.

To purchase Microsoft Office for home use, employees should contact their departmental software contact. The software licensing contact can provide information, including a website URL and password, that the faculty or staff member needs in order to purchase the software using a personal credit card.

Employment status is verified during ordering to ensure that only eligible university employees can purchase the software.

Who is eligible to participate?

The following individuals are eligible to participate:

  • Regular full-time and part-time employees (exempt and non-exempt)
  • Temporary full-time and part-time employees (exempt and non-exempt)
  • Graduate students with a current assistantship who are paid by stipend (but NOT other students or other student employees)
