Adobe InDesign is the industry-standard publishing application for print publications, interactive PDF documents, digital magazines, and e-publications. Although the learning curve is high, InDesign is a powerful tool and provides a great amount of flexibility and options, especially when used with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Adobe Creative Cloud is available at the Technology Learing & Media Center. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign Creative Suite (CS) 6 are available on the NDSU public computers. You can receive individual assistance with creating an infographic at the Technology Learning & Media Center. Check our home page for open lab hours and other informaiton.

Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint can both be effective for creating infographics. Be sure to start by specifying the size of your document in Word or slide in PowerPoint. When you are finished with your infographic, export your document or slide as a PDF. (Use either the "Save as" feature or the "Export" feature.) PDF is an excellent format for distributing your infographic via screen or print.
