Technology Training and Resources
The Instructional Services team offers a broad range of learning opportunities for all NDSU faculty, staff, and students. Classes focus on diverse topics such as Blackboard, Microsoft Office applications, multimedia tools, Adobe software, image editing, digital storytelling, Web authoring, and more.
Instructional Services Training
The Instructional Services team in Quentin Burdick Building 204 offers training sessions designed primarily to meet the needs of faculty and staff. Students are also welcome to attend any sessions not marked "Faculty/Staff Only".
The Technology Learning & Media Center in QBB 150C offers workshops for the general campus population. These one to two hour workshops are usually taught by TLMC student staff members and are geared primarily toward student needs, but faculty and staff members are also welcome to attend!
For more information about training and workshops, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification
If you use Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and/or Outlook), you can earn a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification in one or all of them! MOS Certifications are the official credential backed by Microsoft and recognized world-wide as a demonstration of your proficiency with the Office applications.
NDSU currently has 500 exam vouchers available (300 for students and 200 for staff). These vouchers allow you to take the MOS Certification exams on-campus at no cost. Take advantage of this great opportunity for professional development before it's too late!
This program has been jointly funded through the NDSU Student Technology Fee and by a contribution from NDSU Staff Senate with significant administrative support provided by NDSU's Division of Finance and Administration, NDSU Instructional Services and the Technology Learning and Media Center (TLMC) as well as the NDSU Counseling Center.
