IME Department Facilities

  • The IME department has seven labs to support research and students' educational needs. 

Artificial Intelligence on SUSTainable Energy Infrastructure Network (AI SUSTEIN)

  • AI SUSTEIN is a program made to support and grow the knowledge and use of artificial intelligence in areas like the power grid. This program was made possible due to funding from the National Science Foundation

NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Program in Big Data Analytics and Machine Learning

  • The North Dakota State University (NDSU) Department of Computer Science and North Carolina A&T State University Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering are pleased to offer a special research experience for undergraduate students in big data analytics and machine learning with an international experience component in Chile.

Center for Quality, Reliability, and Maintainability Engineering (CQRME)

  • Facilitates testing and validation for new products partnering with the ReliaSoft (for workstations and associated licenses) and Qualmark Corp. (for test chambers)

Center for Computationally Assisted Science and Technology (CCAST)

  • Facilitates high-performance computing necessities for research and education at NDSU. 

Electron Microscopy Center

  • Micro-computed Tomography, Transmission Electron Microscopy and Microanalysis, Scanning Electron Microscopy and Microanalysis, Sample Preparation and Ancillary Equipment, Light Microscopy. Click here to see the list of equipment.
