Not everything that goes wrong with your computer can be traced back to a virus infection -- however, viruses can and and often do cause a lot of misery for *anyone* who uses a computer regularly!

Your best defense against virus infection is to install anti-virus software on every computer you use -- and then be sure to keep it updated regularly!

The North Dakota University System (HECN) has purchased McAfee Virus Scan (PC) and Dr. Solomon's Virex 6.0 (Macintosh) licenses for students, staff and faculty to download and install on their campus and home computers free of charge.
