Welcome International and Domestic Students! NDSU’s Memorial Union and the Office of International Programs invites you to a special weekend leadership retreat each January and June just for you! Imagine meeting other international students from around the world, sharing stories, learning about different cultures, and learning how to develop yourself as a leader!  Registration begins December 15, 2015.  If you are a transfer student, this retreat is for you too! If you want to make friends fast and feel like you fit right in once you get to campus, this retreat is for you!  Once you are done with International Student Orientation, come to the Mandan room at 3:00pm to check-in.

Participants will experience a three day leadership retreat that will truly be a once in a lifetime experience. Participants will experience a fun, challenging, and family oriented atmosphere designed to take your confidence, mindset, and ability to lead others to new heights! You will meet students from all over the world and create a new family here at NDSU!

Join us and discover the cultures of the world.  Students from over 25 countries attend Harambee every year.  You will experience cultural games, leadership workshops, and make friends for a lifetime. Come and be a part of NDSU's cultural leadership extravaganza while you:

  • Learn how to create a new and powerful "leadership mindset".
  • Discover the secrets to motivate yourself and others!
  • Unravel the mystery behind increasing your confidence instantly!
  • Receive live coaching throughout the weekend!

Gather your friends and register for this once in a lifetime leadership retreat today. Only 24 students will be admitted to Harambee 2016, so register fast! Deadline to register is December 30, 2015 by 12:00pm. There is no charge for the retreat. All meals, lodging, and transportation is provided free of charge.

Friday

3:00pm Check-in for the retreat-Mandan Room
3:30pm Depart for Lake Geneva Retreat Center (http://lakegenevacamp.com)
5:30pm Arrive at Lake Geneva Retreat Center

Saturday

Workshops and Leadership Training throughout the day

Sunday

9:00am Breakfast
10:00am Final Leadership Debriefing
11:00am Depart Lake Geneva
12:30pm Arrive back at NDSU-West Entry of the Memorial Union
