$5 for Adults, $2 Seniors, Free for NDSU Students with ID
The 41st Annual Jazz Festival will be held on February 1-2, 2024 at the Challey School of Music. High school and junior high groups perform at this non-competitive festival, and work receive comments and coaching from these professional jazz artists and educators. Each artist will hold jazz clinics throughout the day, and be featured with the NDSU Jazz Ensemble in concert at 5:30pm each day.
The festival culminates in a high-powered concert featuring our world-class guest artists in performance with the NDSU Jazz Ensemble.
CLINICIANS
Adam Meckler – trumpet artists, composer and arranger, Michigan Tech University
Adolfo Mendonça – piano, University of Minnesota-Morris
Terry Peffer – saxophone, freelance saxophonist, member of the Good The Bad, and the Funky, Minneapolis.
Festival Information:
1. Registration for each group: Registration Form
2. $250 fee per ensemble
3. Each ensemble will receive a total of 30 minutes performance and clinic time. This will include recorded comments from clinicians, and also an in person on stage clinic with at least one guest artist.
4. Bands will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis after registration fee is received.
