Although small in scale, this earthflow shows the classic lobate form (left-center of photo). The earthflow was initiated in clay-rich soils at Fargo's Trollwood Park. Man-made structures have yielded to such processes, as is well-displayed in this photograph.
Trollwood Park has progressively fallen victim to mass wasting processes initiated along the valley wall of the Red River (see creep). The older buildings of the park, including this barn, were originally part of the county poor farm.
